How to make money with Google Adsense!

Pay Off Your Student Loans or Save Money for a Car with Google Adsense?

Fancy yourself as a bit of an entreprenuer, or just need money to pay off your student loan, this is the perfect site for you. It really is too easy, I graduated from Uni about last year and since then I have raised enough money to pay off my debts and by a brand new car with Google Adsense.

Basically, the idea is you have your own website or even blog or forum and you sign up for adsense with google, and google places adverts onto your site and everytime someone visits your website, blog or forum and clicks the advert you get paid a certain ammount of money. I signed up for adsense whilst i was at Uni because i needed money to go out and i also wanted to get a decent car and pay off my student loans, so i decided to make some blogs on www.blogger.com and make my own forum much like The Student Room one most of this website visitors come from. I then signed up for an adsense account and placed the adverts on my websites and blogs and since that day i have been making over $40 a day (just over £20), and the great thing is once you have signed up and got the adverts onto your site you dont have to do anything to earn the money, it just keeps coming in, because your visitors clicking your adverts is what gets you the money.

First of all you need to set yourself up a site, whether you want a proffessional site, a forum or a free 'blog' site, it doesn't matter you can make money from either. Once you have done this you can then sign up for your adsense account, or if you already have a site, sign up now and fill out the form using your already created website address.

Why Adsense?

Google want to buy some of your websites traffic and guess what theres no catch, it costs you nothing to sign up and it cost nothing to run adsense on your site or blog, google are paying you to host their adverts on your site!

Hosting your website.

You must host your website on another companies server, a good servers is, http://www.globat.com/, once everything is set up you need to get your site high on the search engines, which I will tell you about in the next chapter.

Search Engine Optimization.

When everything is set up, you need people to know you're there, especially if you want people to visit your site and click on your adsense adverts. But this isn't easy as it sounds, there are millions of sites on the web, what you need is people visiting yours.

1. Get people linking to your site.

When a search engine searches through your site to put it on the rankings it registers how many other sites with the same content point towards your site, so you have to get as many people linking to your site as possible. There are plenty of ways to do this, try searching on google for 'link swap' or 'link swapping'.

Meta Tags etc.

If you are making a site or a blog, it is likely that you will be updating it regularly, google likes this, but if you wan't google to crawl your site for info on where you should be placed on the search engine and where your site should come up, for example 'how to increase your income with Google Adsense' you should add some meta tags to your page, it's all about html:

"Tips and tricks", getting more people to click your ads.

When people visit a site they aren't looking for adverts, they are looking for content, whether it's entertainment, or how to increase your google adsense income. The trick is to NOT LOOK LIKE AN ADVERT, if you don't look like an advert then people won't think your an advert and therefore they won't avoid clicking it. By 'blending your ads into your site background then you can hide the fact that your ads are in fact 'ads'.

Before placing ads on your side you get the choice of which site you wan't, I've found that the text ads work the best for my sites.

So, therefore I suggest that you click text ads only when planning to ad adsense to your web pages, when choosing the size of ads I have decided to use the 'large rectangle option' this is my favourite and seems to get me the best ammount of money.

Changing the Appearence of your ads to get them 'clicked'!

As you know generally you get paid on a pay per click, this means you get a certain ammount of money for every click you recieve, so you have to try and get as many people clicking your ads as possible. You can change the appearance of your ads using your account, as you can see below you can change your ads appearence in your account.

As you can see, you can choose what colour your ads are, its a great idea to blend your ad into the background, so that people click on your ad without thinking its an advert.

Where to place your adverts on your site.

I prefer to place my ads onto the top of my site (just below the title) and possibly in a column on the right hand side. These work well for me and I encourage others to do the same, I can make $$$ figure dollars from sites such as this one. But its all about ad placement, how you 'disguise your ads' and how high you are on the Search Engine Rankings.

Starting Off!

Tell people about your site, but make sure that you do not break any rules on the Google Adsense 'TOS', wheter in forums, or just your mates, get them to check it out, get your site recognised, this may get you some traffic and maybe some links to your page from other pages. But the key to getting BIG BUX$$$ on adsense you need to be high on searches like 'google' and 'yahoo'.
